Community Cast Video Day 78

Today’s video includes opening a $10 find, my latest hat with a fun sale, and the cloth doll we made at camp so many years ago.

A close up of the front facing, corded and lace trims, as well as the piped edge.

A look at the stitches seen inside.

The piecing on the bavolet/curtain. This little wedge gives the bavolet fullness from the neckline down.

While eating breakfast after recording, I recalled another bonnet in my collection, an adult size one, with a similar silk fabric. Luckily, I had a photo already up on WordPress. It isn’t quite the same, but does have the triple shades of purple.

Sunny days are here…. And sunny days call for sunbonnets!

This June, I challenge you to make a sunbonnet.

How to participate:

We will begin discussion officially June 1st.

Make a sunbonnet and share you progress. Your sunbonnet can be from any era and any region.

Share your progress. This can include: pattern, directions, or inspiration piece, your material choices, and steps as you sew.
