Just Love the 50s

I really do love the 50s from the dresses to the bonnets. Here is a straw bonnet from this weekend. It is already off to its new home. (I will have another later this week.)

    I like your 50s bonnet style, but it looks too shallow to me. Somehow, I see these as being deeper so that your trim and flowers will highlight your cheekbones. Not a complaint, just a comment of what I like.

    You are right about the depth. Bonnets were much deeper in the late 40s going into the 50s. In the 50s, some bonnets retained the deep brim while others inched back.
    The one I am working on is slightly deeper, both through the crown and through the brim.
