Along with a series looking at how funds were raised on the home front, I’m thinking about featuring pieces of material culture from time to time. This could be something to fill a need, something hard to find or somthing of notable quality.
Would this be a series of interest this year? If so, what types of things would you be interested in being featured?

If I Had My Own Blue Box: 
I can see where this would be an interesting research topic, and likely something that would benefit our Southern folks as it was harder and harder for them to find things as the war dragged on. Things like buttons, needles, heck even hoops. Could be a very interesting area.
fabric – with shortages (because of distance or war), was it woven at home, clothes re-made, traded for with neighbors, etc….
