Happy New Year everyone. I want to say thank you to all my readers from the past year. I was continuously amazed by the readership stats.
As we move into 2012, I anticipate having less writing time then I did in 2011. With this in mind, want to make the most out of the writing time I do have. This means I need to know what you want to read about in the coming year.
I welcome each of you to comment below with what you would like to see included this year. Would you like to see more on certain topics (shawls, sewing cases, hoods, cfolding furniture, ribbons, trunks, etc)? Commentary? Advice? Transcriptions from original sources? How-to articles? Posts on current projects? What to expect on Etsy or in publications? Guest posts? Something I’m forgetting or haven’t thought of?
I’m hoping to start putting together the”closer look” series for January, which comes out of the “why this is good” piece. Beyond that…. I am open ears.
Warm Regards,
Anna
PS – Hopefully you’ll start seeing more of the paisley theme (aka branding) this year.

As a cloth doll maker striving for authenticity I love all your posts! A home made doll of the mid 1800’s would have the same fabrics, style, etc as a lady of the times. Some of my dolls have little straw bonnets and so you have been very helpful in that area too! Allthough I don’t copy any existing antique doll and I have my own quirky style, I want my dolls to have accuracy. My dolls are all hand sewn so, any sewing instructions I find helpful!! Thanks for all your hard work! Best wishes for a wonderful New Year.
Hi Anna – I have really enjoyed reading your blog this year, and look forward to your posts in 2012! I know you are focusing on the CW years, but perhaps you could find a few items/transcriptions from 1850 or earlier?
Happy New Year!
Eileen
Sheri – I am thrilled to hear you are using my posts for yor doll dressing. One of the many things I look forward to in 2012 is unpackin my doll, Mae, and dressing her with the fabric stash I have set aside for her.
Eileen – I happen to be quite fond of the 40s and 50s. I am more than happy to include more on earlier decades nowthat I know people are interested.
Yay!! I have 2 china doll heads in need of bodies and clothing that I will be working on in 2012 too, and a small fabric stash for them. They need names!
I’d love most of all to see How-To articles, but I like all of your options and they’re all relevant to me! 🙂
