Last Hats of Summer

Since I had to miss my Fiber Week day at the museum due to a squishy swollen knee, I worked on the straw I had planned for the day. The results are the last two hats of summer.

I made the classic fashionable style of the Civil War era, the tapered crown with shaped brim. This has been my most popular style.

I had just enough straw left to make this petite percher. This style can be trimmed to suit several eras.
