A Hat, A Bonnet, and A Ball

Today is my first official day of summer recess!!!!

I dove right into finishing this bonnet, hat, and ball….. Well…. After falling asleep on the couch for much of the morning to Clara’s great disappoval.

Low brim bonnet blocked on my round bonnet block. This bonnet is suitable for approx 1855 through 1863 depending on your impression.

I decided to offer a finished corded ball. This one has green, cream, and walnut brown silk threads around a wool core and a black cotton sateen ribbon.

This fashionable dome crown hat has a nice straw plait.
