This Weekend’s Millinery

I have two gorgeous pieces to offer this morning.

Delicious! Can I call a hat delicious? This velvet grape hat makes me wonder what Worden Grape wine would taste like. I can tell you Worden Grape jam is very good. Btw, Worden Grapes are a variety of Concord grapes grown in the Finger Lakes region starting in the 19th century. These beautiful grapes and a stunning green silk ribbon trim this tapered crown and shaped brim were popular during the 1860s.

The crown of this hat is 20.5″ around the inside; it will sit high on an average size head.

I am going to start another hat that I may or may not finish tomorrow if I sew through the weekend.

I need to know if people are looking for decorated or undecorated hats and bonnets. I have several decorating ideas that I don’t want to forget. But, if people want some plain hats, I can get those in.
