New Bonnet in Shop

I finished the first white straw bonnet and added it to the shop.

This is a nice straw to work with. It is fine like the other dyed straws, yet soft to the touch.
This straw is not true white white. I am going to call it “straw white” as it has varigated yellow undertones that is the natural straw color. It is not the true white that is achieved with modern synthetic or paper braids. I can not say for certain how this white compares to original sulpher bleached white straw of the era as so little of that exsists and it has aged. The photos show the straw more yellow than it really is in person.
